At Oh Nora, it's all about giving back.
So, to ensure print sales contribute positively, Oh Nora is partnered with Earthly to support the Mangrove regeneration in Maroalika, Madagascar.

For every print purchased, Oh Nora plants one tree as part of an incredible reforestation project led by Eden Reforestation. This initiative works hand-in-hand with local communities to restore vital mangrove forests and help alleviate poverty.

Thank you for being apart of this important mission. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.

What is a Mangrove?

Mangroves are a group of trees and shrubs which grow in the places where freshwater mixes with seawater.

Mangrove deforestation reforestation

Mangroves are incredibly important for reforestation efforts as they act as natural protectors of coastal ecosystems by reducing erosion, absorbing storm surges during hurricanes, and providing critical habitats for wildlife. Mangroves also help combat climate change by absorbing large amounts of carbon dioxide. Their restoration not only supports biodiversity, but also strengthens local communities by safeguarding their livelihoods and reducing the impacts of climate-related disasters.

The Madagascar project begun in 2007. The project has already planted over 300 million trees and created over 3 million work opportunities.

To date, they have planted over 334 million trees across 8 countries. This has opened up 3.3 million days of work for local communities. By the year 2025, their goal is to plant 500 million trees each year.

So, go ahead and buy that print (or two!). Let's help the reforestation project to get closer to their goal!
